Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is a collection of all dental treatment procedures aimed at improving the aesthetics of your smile. A lot of oral concerns may make your smile lose its natural appearance, such as missing teeth, damaged teeth, discoloration, gum diseases, cavities, malocclusion, etc. The simplest and most effective means to get rid of these oral conditions is by visiting a cosmetic dentist and getting them rectified with utmost precision.

Common cosmetic solutions

Dental Crowns: Dental crowns are one of the most widely used dental restorations, as they can be used to restore teeth in a variety of scenarios. Dentists use crowns when the teeth are cracked, chipped, misshapen, broken, weak, worn out, or severely damaged. They are hollow on the inside, which allows the dentist to place them on the teeth and protect their surface.

Dental Veneers: Veneers are wafer-thin restorations placed on the surface of the teeth and bonded using dental adhesives. They are primarily used for cosmetic uses but also restore the teeth to their ideal functionality and structure. They are made from dental-grade ceramic or composite resin, both of which are tooth-colored materials that mimic the appearance of the enamel.

Bridges and Implants: Missing teeth can be quite an embarrassment and lead to a lack of confidence when you socialize with people. The simplest means to restore missing teeth is using dental bridges. They are composed of a solid ceramic prosthetic tooth coupled with dental crowns on either side. Dental implants offer a stronger and more long-lasting solution for missing teeth. Implants are placed directly in the jawbone in place of the missing teeth. They are composed of a titanium stud and a ceramic crown replacing the tooth root and visible crown, respectively.

Teeth Whitening: Teeth whitening is the process of removing the stains from the teeth, which may have resulted from improper oral hygiene, use of tobacco and its products, excessive consumption of colored foods and beverages, etc. We carry out teeth whitening by applying a whitening gel on the teeth and allowing the oxygen molecules released by it to bleach the staining particles. The procedure can be carried out multiple times depending on the severity of staining.

Orthodontic Treatment: A malocclusion can upset the appearance of your smile to a severe extent. When the teeth appear too crowded, misaligned, crooked, or with significant gaps between them, it may make you the laughingstock of the group. We treat malocclusion using our customized orthodontic solutions like dental braces and Invisalign. In recent times, Invisalign is turning out to be the most sought-after orthodontic aligner owing to all the advantages it offers and its subtle appearance.

Gum Contouring: The gums are soft tissues that hold the teeth in place and complement them in putting across an attractive smile. Gum diseases caused due to microbes and other oral infections can lead to concerns such as the decay of tissues, discharge of pus, bleeding gums, loss of bone, loosening of the teeth from their sockets, etc. We treat them by removing the decayed tissues and tartar deposits from the teeth, using medication to treat the infection, and grafting healthy soft tissues to the receded area if necessary.
